"One man's trash is another man's treasure"
Here is a selection of the trophies that have been saved from the tip and sold for Club funds |
Over recent years I have gathered and refurbished unwanted sports trophies to sell on to people that want to give them a second chance. Where possible they have been stripped of their old identification as a particular sport and passed on with no real identity to be used for almost any sport.
In most cases families who have cleared out their parents belongings, donate them to the Club for recycling, rather than dump them. I work on the theory that "One man's trash is another man's treasure". In nearly all cases they do no have any engraving plates or the circular discs denoting the sport. So they become useful to more people for any sport. However I do have a small collection of discs and are willing to include these with the trophies if required and if available, that is until they run out. Please see the trophies I have recycled. If any members have trophies, gathering dust, that they no longer want. Don't turn them into landfill, most can be refurbished with proceeds going to Clock House Bowling Club.
